Frozen In Ice

In the depths of the forest,

I sit and wait,

Frozen in ice,

I anticipate

The loss of life,

A new age begins

The ringing must stop

It is for all of the sins

I break free,

And start to run

Death is near

Must run to the sun.

My spirit is leaving

Why oh why?

My wings are sprouting

Now I must fly.

Death has caught me

Now do you see?

You were too late,

You had no help for me.

If you had kept your promise

You would not be alone

All frozen in ice

A dog with no bone

Death will catch you,

Like it caught me

I was too late

I could not stop thee,

Now you must fly

As your wings sprout

Don’t cry my dear

It’ll be all right

Don’t stop to think

Or fear the future,

Don’t look at the past,

Look for the teacher.

Don’t try to change

What you couldn’t accept

Don’t be sad

But still you wept

Here we are

Home at last

A horrible life

Now in the past

Life everlasting

Is here forever

Come dear one

Come to Heaven

Welcomed by saints

Soon we are one,

Frozen in ice

The Holy One

Walking slowly

Winning the race

Crossing the line

Of everlasting grace

He mutters the words

For us to hear

Frozen in ice

Forever my dear.
